UPDATE: Comments are closed again. I’m very frustrated with the spamming problem. If anyone has a solution PLEASE email me at samantha@daydadream.com! I’ve been trying some plugins that should be stopping the spam…but none are working with this theme. I want to work on it, but right now I have to wake up in four hours and I really need to sleep some. Please let me know if you have an idea of what I’m doing wrong.

Finally got WordPress up. It was killer. Arg. But all up and MOSTLY running now. I’m still working on getting the pages together so for now they aren’t accessable. Still fixing some style issues so please don’t hate on this too much. I’ve gotten way behind on reviews and replying to emails. I’m going to catch up a little bit this afternoon, but I need to pack. I leave for my super-awesome all-girl boarding school tomorrow. That sounds really lame. Whatever. I actually don’t have to be there until Wednesday (preseason, woo!) but we’re driving all the way up there and it’s a 24 hour drive from Florida to New York.

I’ve been a hermit this past week. Wasn’t really able to go outside much between the hours of 7Am and 3PM. School started for the rest of the world on Tuesday (or at least it did here). School cops–or whatever they’re called– are on the prowl. They’ll stop me and be all “WHY ARN’T YOU IN SCHOOL YO?!” and it isn’t exactly common for people here to go away to prep schools in the northeast so…that would be a conversation I don’t really want to have. So I’ve just stayed inside and made muffins. I like muffins so it’s all good.

I was all inspired to write this listening to the song that’s all “I can be your hero baby,” but now I’m not feeling it.

So I had my going away/15th birthday party last Saturday. It was a blacklight club theme, which doesn’t sound so amazing, but let me tell ya’ it was. My entire living room was filled with blacklights, and the dining room with red lights. Talk about a headache. No, seriously it was awesome. We danced, played twister, sang abnoxiously loudly until people had to back away so the uncool wouldn’t spread…oh no wait the last one was just me. Either way it was awesome. So I’ll end this post with a few interesting and perhaps awkward pictures of the whole expirience.

Twister action.

Twister showing the redlightness.

A friend and I spazzing in the blacklight.

Me, ahem, spazzing.

Mkay, I’ve got stuff to do so I must go. Three friends coming over in an hour and we’re gonna have some slip n’ slide fun. Actually pain because those things are designed for much smaller children, but whatever. The pools the backup plan. So I’m off.
